Spectral Songs

Live performances are mystical to witness. We’re lucky to live in a time where countless iconic artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Nina Simone, and the Beastie Boys can be viewed from home long past their days of activity. Taking to YouTube, I photographed various videos, then printed them onto transparent paper, and used twine to arrange them onto foraged branches using twine. When hung in front of a light source, shadows of the performers are cast onto whatever surface they’re closest to. If you’re curious to see such effects, reach out!
